My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise..” – Dua of Asiya(AS) in Surah At Tahrim Asiya (AS) is one of the four greatest women to ever live. She makes this dua while she is being tortured by the Pharoah, her husband because she believed in Allah. He wanted to disgrace her, so he took her to the desert to starve and torture her while others were laughing at her. At that moment, Asiya(AS) made a prayer to Allah, asking to be near Him and asking for a home in Paradise. It was at that moment Allah then opened the skies and allowed her to see her home in Paradise. Then Asiya smiled and laughed in joy. Then the Pharaoh ordered a huge boulder to be thrown at her, but before the boulder touched her, Allah raised her soul back to Him. This du'a is so beautiful because the priority of her dua was to be near Allah. The story of Asiya(AS) is an everlasting example of a woman who chose the Hereafter over all of the glitters of this world, and whose love for Allah and the Home with Him inspired her to take on the greatest tyrant of all time and give her life in the process.
